God uses pain, trials,
to grow our spirit
to open our hearts
so we might show compassion
to our neighbors, on our
walk,
to those who need our love
God is with us
in our struggles, our trials
showing us the way of mercy
we stand with our neighbors
in their time of need
following God’s example
rising from our knees.
