we had no further words
when Christ asked us this
question,“who do you say
I am.”
Peter’s response, speaking
boldly,
“You are the Christ, the Son
of the
Living God.”
There it was, as plainly as
possible
our collective statement of
faith
nothing more to say
our master, the one we
follow
is the Messiah, the one long
foretold.
But what did it mean,
for us to speak it our loud?
