On the night of Easter
hiding, in grief, in fear
On the day He rose
showing Himself to them
those who had followed
who had answered His call
On the night of Easter
He came to them in secret
not hindered by walls or doors
on the day He rose
He spoke peace to them
in this they were blessed
On the night of Easter
He breathed life upon them
the Spirit of Fire
the flames of Pentecost
commissioning these saints
for a life of service
