dying on the cross
for those who despised him
those who shouted, “Crucify!”,
the Son of the living God
dying on the cross
for someone unborn
for all of us throughout
time
hoping some would share the light
the Good News of salvation
hoping we would accept the
gift
and pay Christ’s love
forward
to others yet unborn
