Angry about Rejection – v3

The disciples were angry

the lack of welcome

the Samaritan’s response

to their request for a place of rest

And yet their anger

at such a small thing

at the very moment

Christ turned to Jerusalem

Christ’s sacrifice juxtaposed

compared with their anger

how stark the contrast

how they felt that day

Petty problems

growing too large

when our focus

is turned away from Christ

We need to change

to offer forgiveness

not getting our backs up

over every little slight
