a hedge of protection
not a means of salvation
like a stone wall
an electric fence, maybe,
trying to understand these
words
of scripture, of truth
to understand the Law
before the coming of Jesus
not to redeem, to heal us,
to make us right with God
a fence to protect us
boundaries to stay within
a hedge of protection
filled with your blood
