like an electric fence

like a stone wall

an electric fence, maybe,

trying to understand these words

of scripture, of truth

to understand the Law

before the coming of Christ

not to redeem, to heal,

a fence to protect us

boundaries to stay within

a hedge of protection

filled with your blood
