used to the seats we sit in

like a one-room schoolhouse

the seats all numbered

many families represented

each child known by name

used to the seats we sit in

in the sanctuary, our pews

even when others are missing

sitting in the same places

thirty-five in attendance at worship

because of the snow storm

all sitting in our regular seats
