taken back to that night
to that night in the garden
seeing Jesus praying
and the disciples fast asleep
watching in the garden
as Jesus was praying
hearing His ancient words
that the cup would be taken
Christ’s prayer, so human,
that the time would pass;
but accepting the will of God
faithful to the Father’s plan.
