The clouds have kidnapped the morning – v10

What if this led the news,
truth beyond comprehension,
the weather forecast more honest
that the clouds have kidnapped the morning;
how little we really know
about the weather patterns
how the forces of nature interact
the plans of the Father.

The heavens hold a secret
held within their grasp,
something we cannot know
that we do not understand;
ancient struggles evident
written upon the sky, in the soil,
in the dust of the earth
in the living creatures.

The clouds have kidnapped the morning,
the sun is not visible at all,
the sky coming closer
descending from the heavens
clouds pulled toward the ground;
hungry for its bounty
the harvest of the earth.

Holding the sun for ransom,
to repay an ancient debt,
an unspoken recording
an unspoken recording
a libretto, a song;
in the ledger of heaven
in the story of life
spoken from sealed lips
written across the heavens.

The mystery yet remaining
to believe, to experience,
something yet unknown,
for us to take on faith;
the sky holds the secret
written on the heavens
something yet unknown
revealed in God’s time only
to His children alone.
