can you hear the song of the angels – v2

as we gather at the manger
in the stable where Christ lay;
can you hear the song of the angels
of their joy on this day

do we feel the presence of the sacred
of the holy in that manger bed;
do we really believe the prophecy
that this was God Here With Us

can we stop and be silent
listening for the sounds
in the stillness of the stable
and the cry of our newborn King
