carving out a piece for grief

being honest, fully human
seeing the whole picture
not whitewashing over pain
in the midst of our joy, sorrow
carving out a piece for grief
to remember those grieving
to share in each other’s walk
so we could go home again
that we can walk together
on the path set before us
in our walk in the world
