walking through the Kidron Valley
with Jesus, their Lord, their Master,
from the Passover, the upper room,
to the garden, Gethsemane,
after Judas ran into the night,
confusion filled their hearts.
walking in silence, in sorrow
at the words of Jesus
how they would all desert Him
how they would run away
these truths as a weight they each carried
as they journeyed with Christ that fateful night.
