 For the sake of Democracy - v2

For the good of our nation

for the sake of democracy

there must be an accounting

a time of trial, of struggle,

a confronting of hard facts

before reconciliation, healing,

there must be justice

an ending of this madness

for good will to return

comity in our discourse

only then can there be unity

a real healing for this land.
