Our prayers lose power

Our prayers lose power

If we are not real, authentic,

if the words are not our own

our prayers lose power, meaning,

coming before our Lord.

Not merely words but action

faith to match our promise

we must live our lives righteous

not following ways of the world.

Only when speaking with power

living out our faith truly

can we be a witness to our Savior

to our risen Lord in heaven above.
