God must weep

God must weep

God must weep

in these days, this moment;

God must agonize

for the loss of such life.

God must weep

so much more than Jesus

so many more than one friend

sent to the grave.

God must weep

for the raging pandemic

so many lives lost

all over the globe.

God must weep

for the failures, the arrogance,

for the many lives lost,

in the name of free will.

“I will never understand American Christianity’s

response to the pandemic. I’m so grieved by

reckless choices that lead to real life consequences

for the whole community. And I wonder in the

Church’s failure in this also grieves the heart of God.”

My reply:

if "#Jesus wept." for the death of one friend,

Lazarus, how much more so must #God weep for this

loss of life from the pandemic.
