A new year
dawns in fog
Creating a question for us
Like the riddle of the glass
Whether half full or half empty
A challenge for our senses
What do we truly see.
Possibilities open before us
Requiring trust, faith,
Belief in the unseen providence,
The faithfulness of God
Before the days open
A mystery foretold.
