Grist for the mill - 2

A cog in the machine
Unique but replaceable
Grist for the mill
Fodder for the cannons
More weight added
To the load that we carry.
 
More work,
Fewer hours
A cycle repeating
Grist for the mill
Fodder for the cannons
Till we choose another path
Loosing the chains we carry.
