stealing time that wasn't mine - v2

Thinking back to that moment
as I walk the beach near twilight
sneaking out for a few minutes,
precious, but too few by far.
 
Stealing time that wasn't mine
staying in that place too briefly
longing for that moment to have lasted,
to drink it ever more deeply...
