Speaking her dreams – v2

Asking a question, joining in conversation,
Conquering her reserve, her reticence,
A smile forming on her young face,
talking about her future, a promise,
what will come to pass.
 
Learning so much, so deeply,
Drawn, encouraged from her shell,
Her loved ones’ coaxing, wooing her,
to share her aspirations, her goals,
speaking her dreams of calling…
 
Finding her resolve, her focus,
Her purpose to do meaningful work,
A dream to change the world, hope,
to defeat the scourge of cancer,
this blight upon our lives.
