a tear in the fabric of time – v4

There was a slice through eternity,
a tear in the fabric of time,
there at the stable
in Christ’s birth, the Messiah,
laid in a manger bed,
 
Christ’s birth changing our future, forever,
a focal point of history;
God entering creation,
God descending,
entering time.
 
There was a slice through eternity,
a tear in the fabric of time,
there at the Jordan
in Christ’s baptism, the Savior,
washed by his cousin John.
 
Christ’s sacrifice on the cross,
His ministry before this,
the tearing of the curtain,
His death and resurrection
grace to heal all of us…
