A river of snow – v2

A river of snow,
a curtain of ice,
pristine in its danger,
the road covered,
the trees glazed,
Calling to us to linger.
 
A river of snow
where there should be a roadway
Locked in winter’s grip,
hidden under ice,
a peril for the timid,
a latent danger.
