skin of crinkled cellophane
blistered skin of flesh
Color like the corona,
Above the arc, the edge,
The plane across
which we traverse,
Alive by the street...
 
life in the fabric,
The living evermore,
Ancient yet enduring,
Flesh puckered, ablaze,
Coming into view,
A metaphor of the universe,
Framed against the grass...
