A raw wound open,
facing our sin, our past,
choices we have made
that we regret…
 
A raw wound open,
confronting our demons,
the challenges we face,
our broken history…
 
A raw wound open,
but essential for healing,
bleeding off the dirt,
the infection in the way…
 
A raw wound open,
cleansed by the water,
by the sacrifice, the blood,
of our risen Lord, Jesus…
