Returning to the altar – v2

Returning to the altar,
Going back to God’s feet,
Reentering the throne room,
To gather the cares, the worries,
The burdens we have given to God,
Picking back up the chains we carry.
 
How does that make sense, Believer,
Where is our faith, the trust we speak,
If we come back into God’s presence,
To pick up the burdens we have left,
That we have given to our Father,
That we have laid at Christ’s feet?
 
God must weep tears of frustration,
Knowing all the good He does,
Seeing us returning, bowing,
Gathering our chains,
The worries, cares,
We left to Him…
