We deceive ourselves
When we claim to be righteous
When we do not confess our sins
To God, to our fellow man…
 
We deceive ourselves, denial,
When we say we don’t need forgiveness
When we lie to ourselves, to God,
and to our fellow man…
 
We deceive ourselves,
When we say we are self-made,
When we believe in ourselves
Not in God, our fellow man…
