Pulling back from the pinnacle – v2

Pulling back from the pinnacle,
from the thing that she loves,
stepping down from the mountaintop,
taking time for herself, important,
to be healed, to be restored…
 
Choosing herself, herself, who she is,
her own mental, spiritual wellness,
not the maddening crowd,
those who idolize, adore her,
those who would tear her down…
 
Finding restoration, wholeness,
restoring what was taken from her,
as she had to, in the end, in truth,
now taking up the mantle, her title,
once again reclaiming her crown…
 
In the end, she mattered, her whole self,
she is now so much stronger, striving,
gathering her fans, her loved ones to her,
standing on the world stage once again,
flooded with joy, God’s infinite grace.
