As my world fell into darkness,
I ventured outside, quickly,
To the easternmost corner of the driveway,
The closest to you, Sweetheart…
 
I spoke into the ether,
Across the time zones,
Repeating the words, “I love you Christina”,
Aloud three times…
 
Each time I spoke these words,
an echo in my spirit, your words,
hearing you answer to me,
“I love you more…”
 
I spoke into the ether,
And you gifted me your answer,
As my world fell into darkness,
I felt held by your love…
