Diaspora – 2 – v2

Yanked from his homeland, ripped
from the soil by cruel masters,
not caring how deeply,
he cared about Ukraine…
 
More than half of his life,
he was set apart, cut off,
like others ripped from the soil,
taken from his homeland, Ukraine…
 
He was part of the diaspora,
the disconnected, disaffected,
but held by his homeland,
by his Beloved, Ukraine…
