She leaned forward – v2

There was a moment, set apart,
within these moments,
when you asked her
the essential question;
she reacted emotively,
seizing the opportunity,
to fully answer the question,
from her soul, from her heart….
 
She leaned forward, toward you,
a smile growing within her,
saying she believed, truly,
that there would be change,
that there would be freedom,
in Russia, her homeland,
that all the sacrifice, the pain,
in truth, all she had endured
would bear rich fruit…
 
Power in this moment, truly,
within the other moments,
the gracious space you created,
a well of open-ended questions,
knowing too the power, honor,
in giving her that sacred space,
to speak authentically from her heart,
that this moment didn’t pass…
