She leaned forward

There was a moment,
Within these moments,
When you asked her
the essential question,
she reacted emotively,
seizing the opportunity,
to answer the question,
from her soul, from her heart….
 
She leaned forward,
A smile growing within,
Saying she believed,
That there would be change,
That there would be freedom,
In Russia, her homeland,
That all the sacrifice, the pain,
Truth, all she had endured…
 
Power in the moment,
With the other moments,
The gracious space created,
a well of open-ended questions,
knowing too the power, honor,
in giving her that sacred space,
to speak authentically from her heart,
that this moment didn’t pass…
