You are my waking dream,
while I am wide awake,
each moment of every day…
 
You are my hope forever, eternal,
my light, my love, my joy,
a prayer for today, tomorrow,
for a wholeness, an end,
to the ache of my desire,
my longing to touch you,
to be with you, my heart, my love…
 
You are my waking dream,
my hope forever, eternal,
you are my wife, my love…
 
You are all that I desire,
my life, my hopes, my dreams,
the air within my lungs,
my way through the wilderness,
the mother of my children,
the love of my earthly life,
the wellspring of my joy…
