The spell has been broken

The prophecy fulfilled
 
The time of exile has been completed,
the judgement of God upon the people,
stuck between heaven and hell,
the prophecy fulfilled, completed,
the curse over the people,
the spell has been broken
a light is now coming, rising,
the Great Grave is about to open…
 
Fidelity to their nation, the Kozaks, Hetman,
the memory of ancient glory,
to the cause of freedom, their songs,
the chains of the curse being lifted,
their eyes open, united together,
one hope for a future, a hope,
a return to their past Glory…
 
High upon a hilltop, a tremor,
above the mighty Dnipro,
the Bard stirs in his tomb, restless,
for His is The Great Grave,
the glory of Ukraine has been opened,
together with the Kobzars,
the black-haired maidens
all sing songs of their victories,
for their love of Ukraine…

Channeling Taras – v2

Channeling Taras,
the Bard speaking to me,
the words I have written,
as if from his own hand…
 
Finding me willing,
a vessel empty,
giving to the power,
of his words, his love…
 
Seeking his black-haired beauty,
his true love, Ukraina,
the orphan, the widows,
the Kozaks in chains…
 
Channeling Taras,
open to his spirit,
to his calling to me,
to once again speak…
 
Finding the words,
from the air, from the ether,
flying from the steppes,
back to the Dnipro…
 
Once more he calls me,
from his far-off fortress,
in prisons, in chains,
like his beloved, Ukraine…
 
Channeling Taras,
being his voice, his witness,
the bravery of his people,
his nation, fighting for freedom,
for independence from the Moskals…

In the crucible of war – 2 – v2

In the crucible of war,
fire of this moment,
they have been tried,
they have been tested,
too far, too long, too many,
beyond their breaking point…
 
So unfair, so wrong, alone,
a whole nation in peril,
standing against our enemy,
never again we told them,
but this promise was a lie, a ruse,
marshalling in the terror…
 
In the crucible of war,
our failings revealed, manifest,
silent witness to their resolve,
but our appeasement, our delay
to support our allies, this country
fighting for freedom, for all of us…
 
So unfair, our weakness,
they are holding back the tide,
terror of the fascists, the Russians,
fighting against the West, all of us,
but they are the ones fighting,
for freedom, independence,
for a just peace to come…

they may not be blood,
they may not be beside you,
separated by distance, far apart,
but listen to your heart,
your inner voice speaking…
 
don’t wait, tell them,
tell them that you love them,
that you are thinking of them,
remember what is important,
taking but a few moments,
to say that which is important,
to all those you love…

The Sanctity of life,
for this good and noble people,
standing against the tyrant,
the oppressor, his evil…
 
A death sentence, destruction,
that is what you offer,
land for peace a canard,
an existential threat…
 
Self-determination, freedom,
the rights of this brave people,
we must be in the vanguard,
of what is good and just…
 
A death sentence, appeasement,
acquiescing to terror,
selling the soul of these people,
to sin, to darkness, to death…
 
The restoration of hope,
freedom for these people,
that must be our position,
our righteous call…

peace in his spirit – v2

though he struggled in his body,
there was a peace in his spirit,
knowing another would continue,
would take up his banner, his cause…
 
a mild and tender prophet,
was gifted an answer to his prayers,
that the one truth would not perish,
will not vanish from this earth…
 
another heart was ready, gifted,
to carry forth the promise, his life,
to keep alive the memory, the hope,
for his dearest Ukraina…
 
a holy star he had wished for,
his prayer he poured out upon her,
a blessing in the mighty call,
continuing his life’s work…
 
opening his heart up,
peace at his ending, in his spirit,
knowing another will support the cause,
of his love, his blessed Ukraina…

The anguished words of the defenders – v2

Listen to the anguished words of the defenders,
hear the anguished cries of civilians, of the children,
they are all of them pushing forward,
even beyond their breaking points…
 
We can hear them pleading for assistance,
for governments, for nation-states,
to help them defeat terror,
To grant their spirits rest…
 
Far too long have they struggled,
for freedom, for their existence,
beating back the terror,
Russia’s goal of genocide…
 
These are a good and noble people,
but they have reached their limit,
something manifestly must change,
To grant their spirits rest…
 
The world must stop their foot dragging,
the moment for caution has passed,
bold action is needed now,
before winter comes…
 
We must come up beside them,
their best sons and daughters,
we must yoke ourselves to them,
To grant their spirits rest…

Ten years under the gun,
fighting a threat of extinction,
defending against an animal, a beast,
bent on a war of terror, or genocide,
the existential threat unending…
 
Ten years under the gun,
bearing the weight of humanity,
caught between superpowers,
no time for warnings, to prepare
to stop the mindless terror…
 
Ten years under the gun,
standing on a trip wire,

God has made a way, to change us
now our spirits, our lives
are now wired together
Together we are one…
 
we have become new creations,

united one to another

The Great Grave has been opened

The rising of her children
Ukraina’s best sons and daughters,
answering the call of duty, of freedom,
their love for their homeland…
 
Shevchenko’s prayer has been answered,
The Great Grave has been opened,
the spirit of the Kozaks, the Hetman,
have descended from their mountain slumber…
 
They fight beside you, for glory,
for the restoration with you,
the victory of your homeland, Ukraine,
for the freedom of your people…
 
The Great Grave has finally been opened,
the ancient glory that we sing of,
the Kobzars and the black-haired maidens,
sing their mighty songs…
 
High on the heights, the tombs,
the Kozaks rise from their rest,
fighting with the heroes, the warriors,
until victory is won…

We are not consumed,

in the fires, in the flames,

we are renewed each morning,

God’s breath is within us

we are reborn, we are redeemed…

God’s breathes life within us,

the whisper, the fire of Pentecost,

God’s Spirit dwells within,

We walk with a hope, a promise,

That God is by our side…

We are not consumed,

though we have sinned against You,

Christ reaches down to save us,

to set us back on the water,

that we may walk with Him…

In my dream, darling
my naked body finds you,
asleep under the covers,
drawn to you, close in our bed…
 
I whisper like the Kobzars,
breathing songs of my love,
my body wrapped around you,
in sweet caress…
 
You stir ever so slightly,
moving your body toward me,
I hear your heart beating
in time with my own…
 
I close myself around you,
my fingers touching you,
You offer me a soulful kiss,
a prelude to our lovemaking…

the taste of your skin,
