eleven years, longer, under this threat,
knowing the bear was coming,
that imperial lust was in the heart

Three years of terror of war crimes,
an unprovoked invasion, oppression,
their evil master returning, conquest,
his imperial lusts on display, present,
in the meat assaults, the missiles, drones,
genocide, crimes against humanity…
His cruelty evident, this last Tsar of
Russia,
bent on exterminating this people,
horror, attrition, every day, repeating,
while we dither, appeasing, we must act,
we must arm Ukraine to defeat him,
