Opening Pandora’s Box - v2

The Fall of Man, of each of us,
listening to the snake,
to the primordial, the center,
the flesh, who we are hidden,
under the place of reason,
of power over lust, desires,
shattered, ashamed of ourselves,
finding ourselves naked, broken,
raw, exposed, bleeding cursed,
separated from God, perfection,
the Garden as He had created,
estranged from the source of life,
our loving God, our Creator…
 
No safety net, no protection,
making rash, unthinking choices,
opening Pandora’s Box, chaos,
without considering, studying,
without weighing the option,
the consequences of our sin,
our separation from God,
righteous judgment upon us,
our lives cast into the fire, the pit,
suffering for moments of joy,
of pleasure, of the flesh,
finding our lives empty,
paying an awful cost…
