each defender, those working,
seeking to defeat the scourge of Russia
each of them sacrificing so much
for the land they each love…
 
living a postponed life
in the moment, this present,
so future generations will be free
their dreams not held in statis…
 
each of them has made a choice
for Ukraina, their homeland,
standing in the breach right now
every second a sacrifice…
 
living a postponed life
their dreams frozen in amber,
waiting for the thaw, a just peace,
to wash over their homeland…
