escalation

Escalation, terror, not reprisals,
not retaliation for legitimate defense
strategic bombers, missiles in the air,
the drones sent forth, launched,
in premeditated murder, genocide,
raining from the air, not indiscriminate
the bombings, the waves of troops sent,
into the meat grinder watched by the drones
eyes that stalk them, that defeat their plans…
 
The myth of Putin’s strength, his invincibility,
an illusion, a lie, the cracks forming, wider,
a charade, the curtain falling, shattered,
lies being caught, the spider web operation,
asymmetric warfare, hybrid acts of justice,
for every war crime, every victim, even on the
streets, justice for everyone that they struck down,
self-defense in unexpected ways, taking the fight
back home, to Mother Russia, to Putin’s homeland…
