I am but a branch

I am but a branch,
I am a vessel,
I am not the vine,
I do not give life,
I do not bear fruit…
 
I am but a conduit,
a way for Christ to work,
the Holy Spirit within me
guides my steps, my path,
without God I am nothing,
I am grass to be burned
in Hell's eternal fire…
 
I am but a branch,
but within the vine I live,
I have a calling, a purpose,
I can testify to glory, to grace,
I can witness to His mercy,
to the goodness of God...
