living in the shadows – v2

living in shadows
in harms unspoken
of wounds never seen
of wounds never healed
those too deep to reveal…
 
lost years of torment, of pain,
of struggle, of torment,
of wounds never healed,
separated hearts, aching,
never quite the same…
 
hearts joined but
set apart, silent,
never fully together
never bound as intended
scripture unfulfilled…
 
lost years of anguish, of pain,
unspoken scar tissue, struggle,
lost time to the Enemy, to Satan,
separated from one another,
separated from God…
