May aid finally come

I join in the prayer of the people
of those fighting for freedom,
May aid finally come to stop,
to defeat the aggressors,
to end the genocide, the bloodshed,
the human safaris, the double-taps,
the daily terror, the horror,
Russia’s relentless attacks on Ukraine
standing resolute in this moment…
 
Only in defeating the aggressor,
the terrorist state of Russia, Putin,
can recovery begin, can a lasting peace
rise in the center of Europe, for Ukraine,
for the other nations, peaceful,
May aid finally come, swiftly,
too many are dying under the cloud,
swarms attacking Ukraine nightly,
while we sleep safe in our beds…
 
May aid finally come, now,
may the willing become actors,
sending Ukraine all they need,
to stop the frontlines from expanding,
stopping the Russians on their land,
not spilling over into NATO,
keeping the cancer from spreading,
from metastasizing further, terror,
helping Ukraine achieve victory…

“During the discussion "No Security – No Recovery", organized by Victor Pinchuk Foundation and YES on the occasion of #URC in Rome, Khrystyna Boychuk, Officer, National Guard of Ukraine, called for more weapons for Ukraine and more decisive support of European states: “We cannot hold the front line forever. Ukrainians will keep fighting, but if you want the front line to stay where it is, your time has come. We need weapons, we need equipment, we need technologies, air defense, we need responsibility. Shared responsibility.”
