I wish I could take back my words

Like toothpaste out of the tube,
my curses, my angry words
leave deep scar tissue
ammunition to use against me
in pain spoken out loud….
 
How I wish I could change the past,
I wish I could take back my words,
I pray my confession, my apologies
could reverse the pain I have caused,
the sins I have committed against them…
 
I can only pray for Your Spirit
to speak healing within them,
not so much forgiveness for me
but healing their spirit,
for what I have said to them,
for the pain of my angry words…
