Wooed back from freedom,
from our new life in Christ Jesus,
Walking in the heavenly light
away from the glowering darkness…

The stench of the jail calls us,
familiar, our prison, the darkness,
Falling into our ruts
in the way of the flesh…

We came out of our cells,
the door that Christ opened,
But we are drawn by our idols -
We return to our comfort...
