Revealing its true colors,
Treasure in its simplicity,
golden color held in her hands,
normalcy of the change of seasons,
simple moments of reflection,
ignoring the chaos all around,
the war, the continuing storm…
 
One leaf gathered up from the field,
held, cupped in worn, tired hands,
treasure in its simplicity, purity,
a beautiful messenger, a whisper,
a harbinger of autumn, a prayer,
a foretaste of the coming winter
the cold soon to come…
 
Like the wheat, the sunflowers,
the colors of this nation,
held so loosely, gently,
normalcy in simplicity,
yellow below a fall-azure sky,
emblematic of Ukraine,
their nation, seeking peace…
