Treasure in its simplicity,
revealing its true colors,
normalcy of the change of seasons,
ignoring the chaos all around…
 
One leaf gathered up, held,
cupped in worn, tired hands,
a beautiful messenger,
a harbinger of autumn,
of the coming winter…
 
Like the wheat, the sunflowers,
held so loosely, gently,
normalcy in simplicity,
yellow below a fall-azure sky,
emblematic of Ukraine,
their nation, seeking peace…
