Given Power

In that moment, the church born
given power, by the breath of God
the roaring flames, descending
touching flames upon them
planting seeds of power
within them, each of them
in their beating hearts

The same seeds, the word of God
planted within you and within me
written on our hearts
the Spirit of the flames
the fire of that day
burning still,
to this very day
