a balsa plane

The shape of the wood
changing under my touch
turning the block
the square becoming a cylinder
making a balsa plane
a space ship, with propeller
to race down the zip line

His hand ready, guiding my sanding
the shape of the rocket
coming to life
the color of the cub scouts
the blue and the gold
racing in the gym
for glory untold
