The shape of the wood
transformed
by my touch
turning
the block, its shape
the
square becoming a cylinder
making
a balsa plane
a
space ship, with propeller
to
race down the zip line
in
the gymnasium
His
hand ready,
guiding
my sanding
the
shape of the rocket
coming
to life together
the
color of the Cub Scouts
the
blue and the gold
racing
in the gym
for
glory untold
