We need God’s strength

because we are weak;

We hope in Him

that we may come home.

We lean on God

as with a walking stick;

we find strength for the journey

hope on our walk.

we eagerly wait

for His coming

descending from the heavens

to reclaim the world

we eagerly wait

for His witness

for His gathering

come to bring us home

we eagerly wait

for our joy in heaven

rising to gain our crown

to sit at the feet of Jesus

the approaching Advent season

remembering their journey

An Awful Truth

Eternal damnation
estrangement from love
the power of our choice
the pit of free will

May we step back
away from the abyss
turn to the Lord
and live in his bliss

The choice is ours
because of his love
offering life
that we may truly live

But the price is ours
when we make our choice
the price already paid by Christ
or the price of our life
