His Hands upon My Clay – v2

God’s hands, reshaping me
making me a vessel
when I give to His touch
when I become empty
when I become supple
molded by my Master
to His holy plan

His hands upon my clay
the path of my life
changing my way from the world
leading me to the pastures
beside the still waters
guiding my steps
if I submit to Him

His Clay Hardened – v2

On the mountain that day
something profound changed
changed forever, always
turning His face
to prepare for the journey
to go to Jerusalem
King David’s city
the coming of His sacrifice
His clay hardened that day
fired for a purpose
on the mountain with God

God the Potter – v2

Another image of God
our Father, Creator
seeing God as an artisan
an image of the Potter in His shop
sitting at His wheel
a lump of clay before Him
our clay upon the wheel
dust of this earth
with life only by His hand
turning to the touch of God
Our clay worked, molded,
pulled to the center, upward
a beautiful creation forming,
shaped by His loving touch,
giving to the Potter
becoming more supple, smoother
giving to His touch,
the urging of His hands,
to be a vessel of His love

giving my clay – v2

giving my clay
into the hands of the Potter
to be used, to be offered
to be given, as He will
for His holy purpose

giving my clay
my body, my substance
all that I am, to You,
into the hands of God

giving my clay
into the hands of the Potter
to be used, to be offered
to be given, as He will
for His holy purpose

Giving God Our Clay – v2

Our bodies to Your service
our spirits up in glory
we give God our clay
vessels for His love
to pour out, to spread His seeds
to bear witness to His bounty
to the power of the cross
offering grace to all
by His body and His blood

“Waste and Grace”,
by Rev. Frank Gulinello, Jr.
“ Jesus’ parable of the Sower focuses on the scattering of the seed.
No matter what kind of ground it falls upon, whether hardpan or
deep rich soil, God will have a harvest yielding a hundred fold.
So, scattering the seed aimlessly is not wasteful in God’s economy.”
