shame for a crime

Shame for a crime,
a sin I never committed,
hiding in secret, in silence,
that which wasn’t mine to own…
 
Pain overwhelming,
an ache deep within me,
pain never exposed, open wounds,
that was never allowed to heal…
 
Sins I committed,
didn’t warrant the shame,
for their sin that happened
in that cluttered field that day…
 
Shame for a crime,

my body reacted

I was scared when you touched me,

unwanted, without permission,
I was ashamed, shattered,
broken, when my body reacted,
a lightning bolt, a shiver,
blood rising within me,
a sensation unwanted,
My innocence lost, forever,
in that littered field that day…
 
My body reacted, without me,
a fire within me, unwelcome,
an unwanted touch, dirty,
changing the course of my life
a secret unspoken, shameful,
never reconciled fully,
a lie of guilt, of wanting,
I carried within me, too long,
for five awful decades…

dwell within the water

seek to walk with Him,
our risen Lord Jesus,
consider His way
His path for our lives…
 
submit to the Father,
reject the flesh,
look to Christ Jesus

When I am silent, at peace,
when I truly listen, deeply,
The Holy Spirit speaks power
Christ’s words alive within me
burning like a brushfire…
 
I am blessed, I am humbled,
His thoughts speak through me,
Love melting deep within me,
My heart becomes a vessel
sharing God’s grace…
 
Speak, Lord Jesus,
bleed love through me,
well up in me, within me,
pour out Your love, your mercy,
to this broken world…
 
Empty me, fill me,
Use me, fill me, pour me,
how I long to be yoked to You,
Lead me in Your ways, Lord,
pour me in love…

We must be present with them

We are called to be in community,
as we walk this stretch of road…
 
We are to care for one another,
We are to bear with them in love,
We are to be a balm, a comfort,

we have heard your truth – v2

We have read your words, your cries,
We have watched your videos of destruction,
terror you have seen with soulful eyes…
We have heard your truth, your calling,
The warnings you have spoken
over your land, over this earth…
 
Western allies aid your army, yet fear escalation,
merely weakening the enemy, not victory,
costs ever greater, widening pain…
Politicians make you pawns, in the middle;
but in the crucible of war, this moment
God has heard your fervent cries…
 
God has made you each heroes,
warriors and martyrs, united,
saving your people, this land…
Despite the other facts, labels,
the cause remains the same…
You each stand in the gap…
 
Your voices must be heard
an ever-widening circle of truth,
as you defend your people…
Democracy, all of Europe, the West,
stand on your shoulders, your backs…
We are forever in your debt…
 
Corruption must be ended,
influence of Russia defeated…
Evil must be rooted out
for the sake of your future,
our hope, our resolve,
with you, for your noble land…
 
True peace will only come, finally,
Russia defeated, vanquished,
When we come up beside you
When we honor your bravery,
When we honor your commitment,
When we see your sacred worth…
 
You each have remained faithful,
to your nation, to your people
Living interrupted lives, in stasis…
We have failed you again and again;
but the battle still rages, relentless,
We must stand with you now…

written after talking with some defenders and reading posts on IG and Twitter by defenders and influencers and members of parliament after the protests about changes in Ukrainian law about the independence of anti-corruption organizations.

Quote from a defender today, after I commented on some of her IG posts after the protests started,
“We are like slaves working for the government”.
I responded, “I saw that thread within your posts... The West has made you proxies and the politicians have made you pawns... God has made you heroes, saving your people notwithstanding the other facts...”
She responded, “I'm trying to speak my mind out here”.
I closed that thread with, “I am really glad. You should. You have standing to speak.”

Through the Holy Spirit – v2

We are washed by these waters
by the blood of Jesus Christ,
We are cleaned, we are restored,
by His sacrifice of love…
 
But the fire of the Spirit,
the flames of Pentecost,
God’s love abiding
light fills our lungs…
 
God speaks to us,
We are transformed
through the Holy Spirit
our new life begins…
 
Life is in the journey
being changed, transformed,
fired in the flames, the crucible,
We are healed, restored….
 
We are washed in the sacrifice

through the Holy Spirit

Quote from a defender today, after I commented on some of her IG posts after the protests started,
“We are like slaves working for the government”.
I responded, “I saw that thread within your posts... The West has made you proxies and the politicians have made you pawns... God has made you heroes, saving your people notwithstanding the other facts...”
She responded, “I'm trying to speak my mind out here”.
I closed that thread with, “I am really glad. You should. You have standing to speak.”

a blizzard, a torrent, a burning brushfire...

When the evidence is finally leaked,
only a trickle at this moment,
multiple sources, multiple files,
multiple revenge motives…
 
A blizzard, a torrent, a burning brushfire…
like the scandals before them
the truth will come out, destroying,
everything burned in its wake…
 
Suddenly, the flood gate will be released,
Pandora’s Box will be wide open,
the secrets they so long have guarded
will be brought into the light…
 
No longer hidden, names of the powerful,
brought low by their secrets, their crimes,
their deviance, these pedophiles,
will be brought to the ground…

I have heard your truth

I have read your words, your cries,
the terror you have seen with those eyes…
I have heard your truth, your calling,
The warnings you have spoken
over your land, this earth…
 
The West made you proxies, an army, yet
fearing escalation, weakening the enemy…
Politicians made you pawns, in the middle,
but in the crucible of this moment
God has heard your cries…
 
God has made you heroes,
warriors and martyrs, united,
saving your people, this land…
Despite the other facts,
You stand in the gap…
 
Your voices must be heard
as you defend your people,
Democracy, all of Europe
on your shoulders, your backs…
We are forever in your debt…
 
Corruption must be ended,
Evil must be rooted out
for the sake of your future,
our hope, our resolve,
for your noble land…
 
True peace will only come, finally,
when we come up beside you
when we honor your bravery,
your honor, your commitment,
When we see your worth…
 
You have remained faithful,
to your nation, to your people
We have failed you again and again;
but the battle still rages, relentless,
We must stand with you now…
